Donald Trump ripped into Iran and Israel for violating a ceasefire deal within hours of his triumphant announcement.
“You basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f— they’re doing! Do you understand that?” he told reporters Tuesday morning on his way to the NATO summit in The Hague.
I bet he curses out his diaper changer too.
At this point I’m wondering if there really was a ceasefire.
Everything this guy says is a lie until proven otherwise.
If I were a betting man, it seems very likely he just made the whole thing up. Perhaps he pitched the idea and was turned down by either Israel or Iran (probably both). Went to social media to proclaim his victory. Leading both countries to attach each other to show the whole thing was bullshit.
Let’s not forget, he claimed he was the lynch pin behind the India and Pakistan ceasefire, only to have both sides say he wasn’t involved at all.
“You basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f— they’re doing! Do you understand that?”
Yes, we all understood that for a long time, and not just with this conflict - ironic you would say they “don’t know what the f- they’re doing”, though. Who would have thought diplomacy requires more than “I’m the ‘big guy’, so they’ll naturally listen to anything I have to say”. Who would have thought these long standing conflicts would require more than saying “let there be peace” to solve.
We all, nameless citizens of the world, have known it for a long time - even though we can’t do much about it - about Israel/Iran, about Russia/Ukraine, and so on. While you, toddler living in a golden bubble that you are, have been focusing exclusively on golfing and how to perfect the art of the grift, as well as securing golden parachutes from your grifter friends each time you manage to bankrupt a casino. So now you get to the big chair and think the chair is what gives you power, when in fact it was most of your predecessors’ hard work that gave so much power to the POTUS chair. The same power you’re now imploding.
Whoever produced The Apprentice should commit seppuku in atonement for helping Trump build his platform.
One of the more honest things he’s ever said.
OH NO, NOT THE F-WORD.
Seriously, why the fuck is this news?
If Obama had said “fuck” in office, wouldn’t have been 24/7 for two weeks on Fox News?
Faux News isn’t news, so what’s your point?
He would have been impeached and we would never have heard the end of the outrage from Fox.
So they have the excuse to write “trump explodes” in the headline
There was no ceasefire
Surely he had concepts of a ceasefire
The odds of us experiencing a loser of this caliber again in our lifetimes is pretty slim.
Interestingly enough, the odds of me ever having a shred of respect for this country again in our lifetimes is also pretty slim.
They’ll have to have the cannon custom made.
Unfortunately people like Greg Abbott, Ron DeSantis, JD Vance, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and more still exist.
The entire admin and half the country are losers of this caliber, you’re drowning in them. Nice thought though.
I think people are underestimating how big a loser Trump is. Like the people supporting him are losers, but it takes quite a bit to approach his unprecedented levels of loserhood.
Closer to a third. Maybe two thirds if you include the lazy fucks that couldn’t be bothered to stand in line for a few minutes.
What blows my mind is even in states like Washington, California and Oregon, which utilize mail-in voting, only about 75% of registered voters participated. How hard is it to check some boxes and fling the letter in the mailbox?
Every accusation is an admission of guilt.
Fuck this hurts to read, and empathize with.
I just want to move back to when we were on course for Idiocracy. That’s preferable to whatever this is.
Who would have thought that bringing peace to the Middle East would be so difficult?!
His obsession with the Nobel peace price is really what’s driving all this. He’s been willing to do deals nobody else would make just to get that recognition, and it’s ironically inflaming more conflict.
The best news I read is that his nomination was withdrawn so now he’s extra yippy.
Pakistan hasn’t withdrawn the nomination yet. It was just the Ukrainian who seemed a bit misinformed who withdrew it
Wait, why would Ukraine do that? Was he just nominated by a random guy or something?
As an incentive to get Trump to aid them. He’s entirely ego-driven.
It was a pretty obvious shot at social engineering, which in the context of orangeboi, is generally a fairly shrewd way to play it
His obsession with the Nobel peace price is really what’s driving all this
Nah, it’s much more simple than even that: he’s just a malignant narcissist and a colossal idiot who happens to have a talent for grifting*. Everything he’s ever done has been because of that combo.
*ETA: as well as the wealth and connections to play life on story mode from day one, of course
If he wanted a Nobel peace prize he should have just committed genocide. That’s what most of the others did.
Though Henry Kissinger is pulling a “Spiders Georg” and really skewing the numbers there.
He isn’t the only winner of that prize to be involved in war crimes, to be fair.
To be fair, geopolitics is complicated. Ever seen The Good Place? I suspect it’s pretty difficult to stay totally uninvolved in war crimes as a major world leader. The Doug Forcetts of geopolitics don’t do much evil, but they don’t do enough good to get peace prizes either.
Oh of course, but I doubt anyone else on the list rivals him in quantity.
I would think truly being a mediator would require not playing both sides of the negotiating table for your own ego inflation, but I’m no global affairs expert
This is why he’s in the white house and we’re not /s
you know you’re not supposed to tell me you’re playing both sides right?
His Daddy problems made him a liability to our country.
Many tried and failed, but now it’s Trump. So it will fail spectacularly.
Many say that it fails more beautifully than any other president. No one fails better than Trump.
Only those not living under a rock for the past 50 years
Or those not being all coked up for the past 50 years
Or those not busy with Epstein kids
Or those…
Not that I don’t like to see him miserable but if saying fuck counts as a meltdown, I meltdown every time I speak. Honestly, its not even a signifier of stress, its more likely to signal your being genuine
How many times can you recall a president cursing when talking to reporters? Even Trump doesn’t curse much in his tweets or press briefings. So it’s definitely notable.
He seemed calmer than his normal demeanour
It’s one of those things. When you can’t find a better way to express your frustration as an educated person than resorting to dropping f-bombs, it is indicative of a low vocabulary.
Anyone else with a basic high-school education thrust into the spotlight would find a way to express themselves and their thought in a clear and cohesive way.
But they are obviously the ones who don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.
There are no words that can express the same as curse words. Otherwise, we wouldn’t use them as much.
Words are words. And they are used to communicate. I don’t understand the American panic about this small set of words. They are words like any other.
Non-american countries also have some people that panic about curse words, but I don’t think they match the level of panic of Americans.
Ohhhh buddy , most of europe prides itself on their vast vocabulary of curse words/sentances and how they can say fuck your family in 50 different ways
There was a time when I would’ve agreed with you. I still endeavour to this day to avoid profanity.
Today, however, I don’t agree that using “fuck” is at all an indicator of a low vocabulary (except in the case of overuse, but that’s true of any word). There are emotions that civil people aren’t supposed to feel, so we need words that we aren’t supposed to use to express them.
Fuck can be used to great effect, and should be.
There are actually studies that show intelligence and more explicit language go hand-in-hand, so it’s actually the opposite of your presumption. When I find it, I’ll link the study here in a comment edit.
[EDIT]
Nice ego.
Yea. Its not that he used the word “fuck”. It is in the context of working with Netanyahu, then seeing that Netanyahu has no real respect for Trump or the US military as long as they support his wars. So Trump gets flustered realizing his Israeli buddy has no respect for the US and then says “fuck”. It just hows Trump has no international relations abilities and he doesn’t know what is going on.
Context matters. Someone using profanity more often than they otherwise would in the same context is generally a signifier of stress or excitement.
For fucks sake, me too.
(I apologise for the above meltdown)
Eh… “Fuck” is just a filler word for most New York Natives in general.
Fucking hell, I’m having a meltdown in this very sentence.
WE understand that. Someone deluded themselves into thinking that a couple bombs would magically produce peace. This is not a Harry Potter movie, so Explosio Nocturna did not work.
We have the biggest bombs, the best bombs. Everybody says we have the most powerful, beautiful, you know they can’t make them in other countries these other places they don’t even have water. Can you believe that? Imagine that no water but bombs, they make bombs. So we send our biggest and best, the most powerful military in the world, and they say oh no Mr President oh Mr Trump won’t you please please not send the bombs but that’s what it is folks. No water. And they’re begging me, every day they’re sending someone to beg at my feet for a ceasefire and I say ok! No more shooting. And that’s how it works folks.
– Trump response when asked about how the tariff situation was going.
I don’t know… When I was a teenager, Hermione made me Explosio Nocturna.
Peoples fucking dying
Cannot print fuck
He said fuck for fuck’s sake
It’s a word. I’m getting broken down by the amount of censorship on the internet, particularly Youtube. Their guidelines only state to withhold any uncensored cursing or content deemed only suitable for mature audiences for the first fifteen seconds, to avoid being tagged as mature and the video viewcount and profit largely reduced. A very small price to pay for freedom of human expression and life. But channels take this much further than the relatively mild corporation’s rules, such as:
- Censoring or obscuring all expletives deemed by Christianity to be foul
- Censoring or obscuring all words describing a sensitive subject (e.g. rape, sex, sexual, abuse, murder, suicide, kill)
- Censoring any moment in which a being is subject to any form of impact, whether accidental, assault or police abuse
These actively block and suppress conversing about real issues, leading to more harm, more assault, and more silent victims. Every time the word suicide is censored signifies to me that another person has committed suicide because they weren’t heard. This has been proven to be correlation.
Censorship of human life, experience and expression not only insults my personal ideals of life and freedom, but actually causes more harm, and I cannot forgive that.
Being Silenced: The Impact of Negative Social Reactions on the Disclosure of Rape
Channels aren’t doing that because they want to. YouTube has a lot of rules, some of which are written down. They do it because YouTube has flagged them in the past for demonetization on the issue, and they can’t afford to do that too many times. It can also impact your ability to do livestreams.
It’s on top of a pile of issues that’s making YouTube content creation non-viable for everyone.
It’s a bigger issue of so few platforms for people to use and reach an audience.
But it all comes down to corporations are causing people to unnecessarily censor themselves. It’s a weird thing where corporations have a power they shouldn’t to control what people are saying.
I somewhat understand content creators who make money. But I don’t understand the people who comment and don’t make money off of it censoring themselves so a company can make more ad revenue.
This is why I love Any Austin. Whenever he says “fuck”, he puts a bleep somewhere around that time, sometimes a couple of seconds off.
some day we’re gonna run out of letters in the alphabet for “*-word”, just say whatever, it’s the meaning that counts
I’ll be honest, I don’t mind swearing on social media as I’m an adult but I don’t think there’s any need to swear in the news media.
Tell that to the president of the free world
Just because he has no decorum doesn’t mean everyone has to follow suit.
Idk about you guys but I never said fuck and now I say fuck all the time because the prez does it
Anyone can swear, but I don’t see why we need to have swear words in the news. Just because the biggly orange guy thinks it’s appropriate to swear, doesn’t mean we need to lower the standard in the press.
“You basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f— they’re doing! Do you understand that?” he told reporters Tuesday morning on his way to the NATO summit in The Hague.
Everybody has understood that for decades.
And now Trump has understood it for half a day. Being the way he is, this is a “Nobody knew…” moment.
If someone makes a parody Trump account just for his ‘TIL’ moments I’d subscribe in a heartbeat lol
ICE will just round up some more brown people to make him feel better.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
